CREATE YOUR OWN FURNITURE

A NIFTY PARAPET

A TV and bookshelf unit built on a landing, which doubles up as a parapet to protect and hide the stairwell.

The light in the alcoves provide ambient lighting on the landing and at the entrance to the stairwell.
The space on the landing is optimized with this parapet which offers lots of storage, as well as a large wooden top to display decorative objects, plants, etc. Let this creation inspire you to build a piece of furniture adapted to your interior and to your taste. All dimensions are adaptable to ensure a perfect fit for your home: stairwell, mezzanine, landing, etc.

This is a "classic" construction using our Kinook blocks. The frame is made with drywall metal studs. At each intersection, a large block and small blocks are used to assemble the metal framework. The space between the studs and the panels are used to run all the cables.

Here Matthieu used plasterboard, which is easier to cut than wood. Gypsum board is suitable for this type of construction because the shelves are relatively small. There is no load-bearing constraint on this type of project. A very clean and professional look is guaranteed through neat finishing touches.

Required Kinook blocks
- 64 small blocks
- 32 long blocks.
